Drakengard Wiki

Just kill them. They're just like lambs to the slaughter.
— The Faerie

The Faerie is Leonard's pact partner.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The Faerie appeared and took advantage of Leonard's instability at the time to force a pact upon him, robbing him of his sight that is marked on his eyes. She and Leonard do not seem to have a close relationship, as she constantly mocks his cowardice whenever they are seen together.

the wild dreams of a Deluded child & the End of the dragon sphere
The death of the High Priestess causes the Sky Fortress to collapse, killing the Goddess in the process. Manah's death angers the Watchers, as all order in the world begins to collapse with the final seal's destruction. The Watchers descend from the crimson sky, along with their leader, the Queen-beast. As Caim's party hurries to defeat the Queen-beast, they are surrounded by a horde of Watchers. After Arioch's demise, Leonard decides to sacrifice himself for Caim and Seere's safe passage, despite the Faerie's loud protest. Silencing it, he uses the Faerie's magic to self-destruct, killing them both.

Faerie does not make an appearance in Drakengard 2, however the Tower of Warning's weapon story mentions Leonard and Faerie.

Spoilers end here.

Though it has a timid appearance, the Faerie is promiscuous and vulgar in speech. It seems to have an extremely negative outlook on life and speaks hysterically with dark overtones. The databook explains that it chose its boyish appearance as a reflection of Leonard's preferences. She only exudes genuine concern when her life is in real danger or when her home is under attack by the Empire. She only speaks ill of humans.

Due to its wings, the faerie can fly. It also has great magic at its disposal.

Dengeki Online conducted a follow up interview series to their character popularity poll with series's producer Takamasa Shiba and series's character designer Kimihiko Fujisaka. Shiba remarks that Faerie's Japanese voice actor was a direct request from Taro Yoko; Yoko likes Neon Genesis Evangelion and wanted to include it into this project. Shiba feels the design isn't cute yet simple to understand.
